Except they owned slaves. So there’s that…

And lots of them at that. Washington owned over 200 people. He did free them after his death, but those “wooden dentures” of his were originally teeth from the mouths of some of his slaves. Jefferson freed Sally Hemings children, but he never freed her, or most of his other 150 slaves. In fact after his death they were sold to clear up the debts attached to his estate.

this nation was built on oppression. it knows no other way to function. thats why anytime anyone says “it used to be right”. no, it never was, everything you ever did and aquired was ill-gotten. from inception to now. its all been a load of shit. just because certain people always benefitted and enjoyed its fruits doesnt mean it was ever good.
